Is Winx getting really popular?

Winx Club must be getting popular. The music video for the pop song 'Scream and Shout' has a lot of things that remind me of Winx Club. It's almost like the video was inspired from Winx Club. Have a look at this.

Anagan. The long coat, the big collar and tight pants screams Anagan. Even will.i.am's shoes kinda look similar. The only difference is the colour.

Last of all, Britney's hairdo remind me of Daphne's.

So was the video Winx-inspired? I'd like to think so, but it's unlikely.

Review on Season 5 Episodes 8-9 by Nessa :)

Hey guys, Nessa here! It's time to continue with more reviews. So lets get started.

Episode 8:

 I really wish Timmy and Tecna could be less awkward in real life, instead of always making phone calls/video calls. The writers aren't helping their relationship much. Same goes for Musa and Riven, still fighting as usual, what a surprise *rolls eyes*. The way Stella was acting was terribly selfish, we haven't seen that side of her since about Season 2. It wouldn't be my fave episode, but it wasn't bad either. Their Disco outfits were totally cute though! And we got to see Melody finally.

Overall: 7/10

I remember seeing this somewhere on Tumblr, I can't remember where though. But I thought it was hilarious!

Episode 9:

 

 Ok, don't get me wrong, I love Stella, but she was down right annoying in this episode. Right from the start, acting so immature. She really got on my nerves. I liked her designs though, I suspect they were inspired by Lady Gaga <3 (Imma Little Monster ;) ) Then Stella actually turned into a three year old. Brandon always has looked out for Stella making sure she doesn't get into trouble, but then he literally became a babysitter. This is the first episode we see Aisha and Tecna in a group, they've never been a pairing. And then they get turned against each other. Interesting.

Overall: 9/10

Episode 8: Secret of the Ruby Reef

I'll say it is great! I love the party part and also the part that they were playing the harp!

Wow, did I just saw that Riven and Musa almost fought? 0_0

Anyways, it is great that Stella and Aisha are peace with each other at the end.

I'll say this is 10/10 :)

Episode 9: Gem of Empathy

In the start, Stella was acting like a 3 years old kid, then, well, it happened...

I really laughed at Musa, Flora and Brandon getting tired of Stella kid. xD

I say it is kinda a funny, cool plot. But anyways, I also liked the part that Bloom asked why Tecna and Timmy are mostly texting each other, not seeing each other...

Talk about shyness... xP

Anyways, I also laughed and was shocked at Aisha and Tecna fighting, what happened, they were spelled right? Anyways, the friend feud is quite a good plot also... :)

Anyways, overall, 9/10. :D

Review in Season 5 Episodes 6-7 by Nessa :)

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've done my review right? :P So I'll continue where I left off on Episodes 6-7.

Episode 6:

  

 Man I felt sorry for Bloom. Krystal brought Diaspro into the picture, luckily Diaspro didn't try to interfere with Bloom and Sky's relationship (again). The moment that touched me the most was when Stella said that Tecna didn't care, even though she was joking, but Tecna expressed what she feels like. Tecna is like a machine, cold and serious, but she does really care deep down. Musa talked about her mother, which was great since Nick skipped Season 2 Episode 14. Since Nick fans didn't see that episode, they wouldn't have any idea what Musa's mother was like. So it was good for Musa to mention her. Another thing I like is that nick always make the battle scenes epic.

Overall: 9/10

 

Episode 7:

I thought this was a great episode. We got to see Solaria again. But something odd is not seeing all the Winx working together. This season they have split up into groups of 3's, usually they work in one big group. Thanks to Stella's smart thinking, they got the gem. But poor Flora, she is ALWAYS the one to get hit first, always! *shake my head* But the scene that caught me the most was this one:

That moment killed me several times. I watched that preview clip over and over again. Call me crazy, but I was in tears when I saw it :P I really REALLY hope Nabu comes back, I would disown Rainbow if they didn't bring him back.

Winx Club Nostalgia Night - Part 2

Hiya, it's Nessa here!

Looks like we are a tad overdue for the second part of this segment, been kinda busy lately. Part 2 is gonna be about this old website...

 

Does anyone remember that site? If you don't know, it's the 4kidsTV version of their official Winx website. As a kid it would be my number one site to visit. I would always play the game "Fairy Flight Training", it was so addictive! Unfortunately all the games and the whole site got taken down, but it will forever be in my memory :P

I will be doing only 2 episodes this time, takes time to write all five each post...

AND I don't have much time to write, I have other things to do like studying, etc.

Episode 6: Power of Harmonix

Hmmm, I'll say this is a good episode, this is interesting and all. :D

I also love the part about Tecna, Musa, and Stella while in the forest! It was really sooo touching! We even heard some facts about Zenith, right?

Well, the problem for me is, that they should have included all of the Winx's Harmonix Transformation, and also, it made me confuse, I actually didn't know that the order of their mission would be like that.

Oh well, overall: 9/10

Episode 7: Shimmering Shells

Sorry if I didn't take many captions on this episode...

This is also a good episode! Seeing Solaria again is a great idea! Not only that, we can also see the other planets of the Winx on the other episodes.

And the thing is, I was really confused that it didn't look like Flora when she turn into a statue. But it is great seeing Stella with her great idea!

I was happy to see Musa's and Tecna's Transformation.

Nothing much to say about this episode, so...

Overall: 9/10

I am so sorry if I write like this and not like before, full of energy, I am just really TOO BUSY to do everything! I need to study, study and study.
I will make it full of energy on the next reviews. :D

Winx Club Nostalgia Night - Part 1 by Nessa

Welcome to Nostalgia Night! This is going to be a new segment on the blog when we post about old Winx stuff we used (and still do) love. Winx Club has been going for 9 years now, so this will be a little flashback to the old days of Winx. 

So let's get started.

Dating back to 2005, a book was realised called "Dragon Fire". It was a comic book based on Season 1 Episode 10 (Magical Reality Check). Scholastic was the publisher, and when I saw it in the brochures I pleaded for my mum to get it for me. Since she knew I loved Winx so much, she got it for me. I remember every night I used to read it over and over again. I pretty much know the script for that episode off-by-heart now. One day when the power was out, and had nothing else to do, I came across that book again. To this day, I still love it :)

I don't think there's any scans of this around, so I guess these are pretty rare Winx Club pictures on the internet :P

Winx Club Season 5 returning this month?

Hi guys, it's Nessa here!

We were all expecting to see the second half of Season 5 to air in Fall 2013, because that was Nickelodeon's original plan. But news has came out that it may be airing in January 2013!

But is it really gonna air this month? We all know what Nickelodeon are like with changing their schedules all the time. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
